Introduction

Looking at data can sometimes give us ideas of who and when to target certain players. Sometimes we also want to re-target players from a campaign we've already run. In this article, we'll explain how to create a Segment from a Dashboard or Widget in the Data Studio.

🛠️ Setup

For this example, we want to target every player that has opened an Email in the last month, we will start by creating a new Dashboard to which we will add the Email Strict Conversion Funnel Widget:

Copy any System Dashboard or add any System Widget to your Private or Brand Dashboards, to have a base to work off.
We will then proceed to 'Edit Widget' and add a time dimension so that the data displayed is only for the last month:

After returning to the Dashboard view, we can now click on Emails Opened to get a list of all users that opened an email in the last 30 days. We can click on the Create Segment icon
displayed, give our Segment a name, and click Create. From now on, this Segment is now available to select when building an Activity.
